Here is the fabulous art our class created in the Fall 2009 Whimsical Art Girls Series

What a multi media extravaganza! We explored and experienced the fun and fanciful world of creating whimsical art. Individuality and freedom of creative expression was encouraged through out the series. The girls really had a fabulous time creating their own unique styles...and it really shows in their completed pieces. I wish I had photos of all the amazing art they created.

PHOTO'S FROM OUR FALL 2009 UP-CYCLE YOUR WARDROBE SERIES: Embroidery for novice stitchers. Look at the amazing work these girl's have done!

The concentration in this class was a wonder to behold!

...just how many french knots does it take to make a sheep?

Kitty detail on skirt.

The designer herself!

Detailing on jeans...
...truly amazing embroidery!

Nobody else will have a pair of jeans like these...

These young ladies inspire me with their dedication...

Original designs!

Practice makes perfect!

...more denim details.

The Sewing Circle...loving every minute!

Look at the fabulous flowers she embroidered on her blouse!
Learning a skill such as hand embroidery provided a great way to update the girl's jeans, t-shirts, sweaters...anything they loved to wear! We started with technique and stitch styles and moved on to embellishing items from their own wardrobe. Each girl made a fabric embroidery sample of stitches that will serve as a guide for their future projects. The girls also made their very own embroidery transfers that they designed themselves. The series will continue in the Spring 2010 session.
